June 4th, 2008 Insightful Information About the Advancement of High-Definition Tellies

Television or TV as we abbreviate it to is a commonly used tele-communications practise for carrying & delivering moving images & audio, or as we more typically know it as, telly channels. Commercially existing since the 1930’s the telly set has increased to become a frequently used domestic connections equipment in homes & organisations, largely as an avenue of entertainment and news. Ever since the 1970s video recording on VCR tapes and later, digital playback systems like that of DVD’s, have made it possible for the telly to be used to look at pre-recorded comedy films and other channels.

Television devices are made-up of multiple components, so a TV which does not have an interior tuner to obtain the broadcast signals is described as a monitor rather than a television. Because the future is here, televisions have moved on significantly & technology has advanced, TV’s currently are assembled to get diverse broadcasts or video configurations, like that of high definition tellies universally referred to as HDTV. At the beginning when High Definition Televisions were 1st released they were tremendously steep to buy, although, in recent times it’s possible to acquire low-cost televisions from most places. For instance a thirty-seven inch LCD TV would once have cost you one thousand pounds it is now probable to stumble upon 1 up for a vast amount lower than this, you will see that on the whole Plasma widescreens televisions have reduced significantly in value in contrast to a handful of years ago.

There are 2 varieties of television in the present day, plasma and LCD both are incredibly alike nevertheless, incredibly unlike as well. Plasma is a kind of flat panel display that you will generally only see on large TV displays, which essentially means that you will not find plasma televisions in something smaller than a 37 inch. Plasma displays in there elementary shape are just gas canisters. You then have LCD displays that you can pick-up in many resolutions & they can too be used as PC monitors. May 20th, 2008 Gender Reversal

I may be a woman inside the powerful body of a man. Now, before you jump to hasty conclusions, let me explain. And if you’re a woman who believes it’s long overdue that we have our first woman president—-you’ll like this.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m the sensitive type, easily hurt. But I also have a more acutely defined sense of concern for others.
This is the opposite of a macho man.
A macho man can savage a person verbally, rip them up one side and down the other, insult them, and walk away, happy with himself. They never express concern or regret later on. Dominance is a big part of their scam.
Or, as John Wayne used to say, “Never say you’re sorry. It’s a sign of weakness.”
Yeah sure! Swagger around and act the big guy, the phoney act.
Our government acts this way because mostly men run the government. To be concerned about somebody else is to be a sissy.
I’m the kind of person, who, if you kicked a dog around the corner, I’d feel it. I can’t help it. If I’ve been rude to somebody, I have to come back and tell them, “I didn’t mean to raise my voice like that.”
If I’m rude, I say I’m sorry. Sorry Duke (John Wayne), but the inability to admit the truth, and that you’re human is a sign of weakness, not strength.
The other day the president of the biggest power on earth, angered by continued violence in Iraq, said “Come on,” daring insurgents to attack our own troops (the White House press corps tried to clean this gaff up, saying Bush only meant to say our forces were strong).
If this little tiny pipsqueak man would stop swaggering around, we’d all be a lot better off.
Hormonal grandstanding is one of the drawbacks of a real man’s man, and a male presidency.
I’m largely free of such feelings. Should I feel guilty? Ashamed? Not only am I a sensitive guy, on weekends my wife gets in the car and drives to meetings (she’s a workaholic) while I stay home and wait for her to return. Isn’t the man supposed to do this (drive off)?
I think I’ve got it backwards.
Maybe my mother was really supposed to have a second daughter, and my signals got mixed up just at the last second.
In any event, I’m proud of my feminine side, and secure with it.
I’d like to see a woman president, if for no other reason than she wouldn’t have to live up to John Wayne.

April 27th, 2008 Same old, and brand new, DVD talk!

The war is everywhere. Not the Iraq war, but the heated battle between the HD-DVD and the Blu-Ray formats. The rising interest in that war, though needed to steer the industry in the right direction in the near future, is causing the market to miss out on present opportunities, of less than ideally explored features of DVD products.

Without the war, the industry already boasts a vast pool of products to offer consumers. Thus, ink and space in this review will focus on those under-used functions of the DVD, especially the creative concept of DVD editing and morphing.

The search phrase of “DVD morpher” on Yahoo! returns 201 000 results, with the top 3 all on Avnex’s product of DVD Player - Morpher. DVD morphing is not too new. However, probably not many of us know how to “morph” DVD, though few are unaware of DVD music and pictures. DVD morphing is a concept of creative self-exploration in the high-end world of the visibles and the audibles: users can not only enjoy unmatched picture and sound quality, but also enhance the displayed image as well as modify what they hear with special effects, all to their best imagination. The “morph” tools duly refresh the developed concept of a personal entertainment experience. And with products such as the AV DVD Player-Morpher Gold’s 44 video and audio effects in various combinations, your experience could truly be personal.

Currently, there should be 8 major players in this market, with various levels of products going for as low as $30. The more expensive packages are perhaps the most value-for-money, offering complete tools to define your DVD experience the way you wish to: the above-mentioned 44 cool effects and so much more of the AV Morpher could be yours for $99.95. Such low prices could lead to a boom in the number of “morphers”, when users become more demanding of their players for features such as capturing crystal-clear digital images, converting those pictures into video format and recording and burning their own versions of movies.

Little does an average movie lover know that he can now easily possess such powerful tools to personalize his favourite hits, as the 8 producers are continuously expanding their sales and distribution networks, expecting sales figures to sky-rocket as much as the DVD boom of the past 7 years. Packages are getting more and more complete; users could produce a fully personalized movie disc, from picture enhancement to audio modifications and even to label printing. Yes, these convenient DVD players are increasingly allowing you such level of personalization; you could get rid of the usually bare disc cover and have your family’s pictures in the pack of Home Alone II. At the moment, however, it seems that few producers offer this cover creation feature, with the rare exception of Media Morpher.

In view of the attractive prices and packages, with possibilities to go “even lower and more complete in the future”, according to industry gurus, the market is going to be poised to boom. The question is not when, but how much. This defining edge of the DVD industry could help continue the boom of the fast-growing consumer goods. So, it’s time to get away from the tech-war between the over-mentioned Sony and Toshiba, and bring it on with the evolving products of the under-noticed Media Morpher and ULead Systems.
