Not long ago it is has been hard to maintain anything other than a passing interest in web devs, meaning there was less content to consume, hardly a fleeting second look from consumers when it has come to the mobile web. With the majority of people now taking advantage of 3G, or the 3rd generation of cell phone mobile internet there has been a giant surge in people using mobile technology to access the internet and with that a multitude of businesses have moved in to cement their position. One business man entrepreneur being Xavier Buyse @ ADS Media whose rapidly growing company is growing at a terrific rate as the space for mobile advertising continues to grow. For companies that get the hang of the new advertising strategies, such Mr. Xavier Buyse CEO has, the payoff is potentially epic: a big jump in customer engagement, whilst simultaneously keeping costs to a bare minimum. And whereas the big advances in advertising technology once favoured established companies like Procter & Gamble, which could afford to mass-market its advertising campaigns, the new techniques are much more affordable for all. In the long run it is very likely that, we can cut the cost of advertising in half while keeping up customer response at either the same or a greater level. Steve Jobs has now moved over thirty million iPhones. There is coming up to 100k applications in the iTunes store and the public have downloaded more than 1.8 billion of them, creating an excellent platform for advertisers and marketers. Mobile is not a transparent industry with lots going on behind the scenes and a long way from the more open environment experienced in the above the line ad industry. The irony is that it is the capability of directly communicating with the consumer that is attracting the brands to a market that fails to communicate. But that ultimately is proving very succesful and compartively cheap to identify consumers. The introduction of the first mobile device that web developers and designers can get behind has created a massive boost for mobile internet content creation. Old style media businesses really need to change to be part of the market of tomorrow and for technology based companies that means being willing to rethink the entire process, replacing obsolete processes with new technology and working practices.
