| July 5th, 2009 | The Cost of Geneva Airport Ski Transfers Continues to Be Cut |
Getting from the plane to your skiing accommodation was never easier. These days there are a multitude of ski transfer companies based at Geneva airport, this has meant the cost of airport transfers being reduced significantly. These days it is no longer the case that there were barely a few companies to decide on. Nowadays the skier has a array of options, with virtually all companies having a fleet of shiny minibuses. Moreover if you are holidaying in Chamonix then a taxi ride could take just an hour, and cost only 25 Euros. The short distance of the transfer, and the cheaper prices of Geneva transfers, means that ski weekends have become ever more popular as snowboarders choose to have less time off work, yet all the same wish to delight in their snowboarding holidays. Skiing weekends will remain popular as skiers are still keen to enjoy a skiing trip, but are not keen to take a full seven days out of the office due to the recession. The other benefit of the lower Chamonix transfer costs is that the prices of snowboarding holidays keeps on dropping. Snowboard hire is definitely cheaper than we are used to, especially if you take the chance to pay on line before heading out skiing. Whilst the weakness of the pound sterling against the euro means things are costlier in the town, if you’re enjoying a luxury catered ski chalet then the bulk of your holiday is paid for in pounds sterling before you arrive.
