No Removals service can be entirely guilt-free when it comes to environmental issues. This would be nigh on impossible. Unless companies like Man and Vans removed all their petrol fuelled vehicles and installed a fleet of electric vans. While this may appeal to friends of the environment, it will not appeal to the clients who have to wait for hours for the removal van to reach them. The cost of buying all those cars would also be huge. It is just not feasible. On the other hand, removals companies can and have taken steps to reduce their carbon emissions significantly. Man and Vans is now working with the Carbon Emissions Trust to take this big step in the right direction. They have also changed their fleet of vans to LPG fuels. This means that while the carbon footprint won’t and will never be eradicated entirely, it has been reduced to an extent that will make a real, crucial, and significant difference. The Carbon Trust is dedicated to its mission of accelerating the move to a low carbon economy. They work within organisations- such as Man and Vans- to reduce their carbon emissions and develop commercial, low carbon technologies. A noble mission indeed.
